That wouldnt really help much as you would lose out on new members and what about those instances where you have to boot someone due to what they are doing/saying.

I think that locking the gang down would be a terrible thing

How would you lose out on new members? It just stops you losing members during wars, not gaining them. I think it's a good idea. It stops gangs from kicking people just to win wars.

How about the gang still being able to get applications but its just that leaving/joining a gang would be impossible.

I see a flaw there tho, a gang could be kept in a gang war meaning their members can never leave and they never get new.. :o

Thus if you put a penalty for leaving in place, people can leave but at a price, it means less gang hopping and nonsense

It would sort your entire thing out (personal opinion)

I dont think a penalty by leaving when in a gang war is right.. The gang could then again boot members to win the war, pay little get stats in return...
