[Top Suggestion] Gang Missions

while i was waking up today, i had the idea of an entire gang completing missions together the "rank up" in a new sort of way. apart from lvling and gang wars/battles, this would give a gang something to show the rest of the community that have achieved.

first, these missions are not meant to be easily passed, or else all gangs would pass them and it would be of no prestige.

second, all members if the gang are included in the calculations which puts larger gangs at a disadvantage but also encourages activity from every player.

third, requirements would be, such as, all members have <300 iq to attempt this mission, or, a total of stats between all members must be attained to attempt.

i have ideas about missions:

against the IRS to be able to receive gang interest, which should be the hardest mission as it would inflate the community.

against the NSA to be able to spy on other gangs retrieving such data as "gang chat/forum" or access to any private info for limited amounts of time.

against the servers themselves blocking any attempts to hack members of a gang for short periods of time.

i know there are better ideas than mine and i know mine need improvement but i still think it could take the game in a new direction and give gangs a larger purpose and hopefully bring activity

The idea of gang missions has been though up before, but these ones show some promise. The requirement of having at least 300IQ means that newb gangs would be disadvantaged, so I don't agree with that, but some sort of stat requirement (possible an average one of all members to be above an arbitrary amount) would be good.
One to give either a lump sum or a proportion of the gang bank, rather than permanent interest, would be a good one. The spying ones I think are brilliant :) This would certainly improve gang loyalty and activity, CW drama (often a good thing :P) and general fun.

I like this suggestion, exactly what i think the game needs. Something new and interesting..

The IQ restrictions could be "leveled" like new missions opens each 100 IQ..

quick mission ideas:

every member in the gang need to do 5 success full CIA hacks before reset

x kills in x hours/days/weeks by? 10% or 50% or 75% or 100% participation of the gang

I believe that his suggestion would be awesome after working some on it. It would also make gangs work together like gangs.

What if someone in the gang wasn't up to CIA hacks yet, that would disadvantage the gang.

My opinion is that you can't have the missions available to everybody, it needs to be worked for..

Agreed. Gang Missions, I see these supposiably ultra unbelievably hard, something that requires a lot of skill.

Definately a great idea! It'd be an update of a massive scope, and I agree that having very steep requirements for it isn't neccessarily a bad idea either. Average IQ of 300+ rather than 300+ on each member perhaps. Things along those lines. I think missions that reward gangs that have very high activity levels over very long periods, would be ideal. Completing task X, Y times each day, over a full week, hell even a month, perhaps?

i really need to caps this though:
NEVER ADD GANG INTEREST AS A REWARD.

Maybe totals of skills rather than averages/minimums should be included, so that gangs that bring in weak members are not punished and 1 man gang's don't automatically complete them, eg Having 5,000 IQ total between all members, or if you want it as an accomplishment maybe the increase in IQ in a week, so the gang must gain 500 IQ in a week. This will get harder as the game progresses, as more people will max it out and not be able to take part. Could be interesting...

I'll keep it on the list. It won't be in the next few UPs but I'll might add it sometime later. Also the idea still needs to be worked on a lot.
