Visual Redesign

I think a large part of why we're not attracting or keeping new players is that there's nothing to see, aside from text. My thought is to change the way things look.

The city is a good place to start. Change the background to an image of a city. Highlight different parts to represent the different districts. Rearrange the links so they make sense and eliminate some of the useless ones. Just by using Google, I got a couple good ideas:

Overlay the names of the city on the image that ends up being the background. Use the mastery of hover-text to tell players what's in each district. Maybe draw some lines on it to show which district is which or give each one a different color shade. Maybe put the tag for the gang that owns that district on some of the imagery in the hover-text.

Yes, this would make it so you have to actually go into the district to use it, but it wouldn't be that many more steps, and I think this would make people more likely to stay.

Visually, yes it is more appealing, I'd like to say it should be the default layout style. But I like the simplicity of the current layout i use. So it should only be applied to a default layout and give users the option to use it.

I must say though, this is one of the better ideas to come along, even though it wouldn't be something I would use.

Delineate it into different sections, with the name of the district in text over it. Hovering over that district tells you what's in that district.

And for mobile users, have the current style be the phone version.

Hell, these are just a couple images I nabbed off the 'net. My overall thought is to emphasize the "RPG" aspect of the game. With images comes a better visualization of what we're supposed to be role playing ...

Just keep a layout without any images so I can still enjoy CW and I'm ok with this.

What about fixing bugs and keep a steady run with updates? The game worked before, don't believe pic's really would make this game like it was.....

But a ok suggestion tho should it be a priority?...
