Sorry, I didn't realise this poll was stopping you from parking and getting into your house.

However, IMO and having an avid interest in politics, especially voting systems, I'd say you'd want to narrow it down to 3 or 2 candidates for the next poll (I'd say a 20-25% threshold), and as soon as one gets over 50% of the vote you can stop.

He didn't get the magic 50. If you want 73% of the CW community to be moaning that someone they didn't choose is in power, you can do that. In fact, if you'd clicked 'view results' above, you'd see he is now drawing with another candidate, with a 3rd only 2 behind, so you can see that the majority of people do not support him!

Because, if you'd taken the time to look at the poll at the moment, the people who's votes have been reallocated because their candidate didn't get through have voted NOT for GK, but a lot have voted for other candidates and so he does not have the support of the majority. As soon as a candidate gets 50% of the votes, no matter how many of the other votes are relocated to the other candidates, they will still have the most votes, but until that point all those who's candidate was eliminated can vote for the same person (as has happened now), thus defeating the original 'winner'.
I'm trying as hard as possible to not give a lecture on politics because I know when people talk about something they know a lot about they can sound arrogant, but you guys really aren't helping
